The Second House

Regarding the Second House: Dhana Bhava, the house of wealth and family:
Gold, two types of metals, buying and selling, silver, and the collection of treasures. || 9 || All of this should be fully considered by people regarding the happiness of the house of speech and wealth. || 10 || Wealth If the Lord of Wealth is joined with or aspected by [benefics], the person becomes wealthy; if the Moon is so situated and associated, they are exceedingly wealthy. || 11 || If the Lord of the house of wealth is [weak], it leads to the cause of poverty or defects in the eyes. || 12 || When situated in its own place, it causes a great increase in wealth, especially when aspected by Mercury. || 13 || The Lord of Day [the Sun] surely brings great wealth, but Saturn [Manda] causes its destruction. || 14 || Favorable planets [benefics] situated in the house of wealth bring various types of riches and the arrival of gain. || 15 || When grains or various types of wealth come, it creates faith among the people. || 16 || If the Moon is situated in the house of wealth and aspected by its own son [Mercury], it does not cause loss. || 17 || If the house of wealth is aspected by Mercury, the Moon also brings wealth and other gains. || 18 ||

Now, if a malefic planet is in the house of wealth, the person is poor and abandoned by their own kin. || 22 || Such a person has a facial deformity, is a rogue, a thief, or is lower than a king. Page 4 If benefics and malefics are mixed, the person attains wealth only through great effort, or they fear conflict with their own kin, or fear from fire. || 24 || Malefics in the house of the body [First House] cause loss, just as mixed planets do in the house of wealth. || 25 || Wealth may not remain stable, but even if wealth is lost, it will come again. || 26 || If the house of wealth is joined with a benefic planet and aspected by its own lord, the person has a large family and is great. If joined with a benefic [Jupiter], one is a slanderer or a priest, but humble and like a wise man. || 31 || If the Moon is in its own sign, the person is full of newness and does not have a heart for stealing. || 32 || 3 If a malefic is in its sign of debilitation, one is poor and has a deformed face. || 33 || Devoid of family, poor, and dealing with poison is the man who has [Mars] in the second house. || 34 || With good intelligence, wealth, and modesty, the person is beautiful and possesses clothes, food, and drink. The Third House

Now, the consideration of Sahodara: Siblings, servants, prowess, and those who live under one's patronage.
