Results of the Twelve Houses (Dvadasha Bhavanan Phalani)

However, if that house is aspected by Jupiter and Venus, then surely no harm original: "shastram," literally "weapon" or "injury" shall come to the younger ones. || 2 || If Mercury original: "Saumya" is lost and not aspected by the Sun's son [Saturn], it causes the loss of the younger brothers. If the Moon is in the division of the Sun original: "Singhaje," in Leo and not aspected by Mars, the siblings will be sickly or may not survive. || 3 || Thus ends the section from the Jatakabharana.

When the planets are in the Third House: Sahaja Bhava, the house of siblings and prowess, the strength of the stars dictates that the native may be deprived of their own kinsmen. This leads to a lack of reputation among family, little happiness, and even a lack of friendship from those of a dark temperament original: "tamasavan," those governed by Tamas or ignorance. || 4 || If the planet governing children [Jupiter] is situated in the third house, the person is said to be full of fame and followed by their kinsmen. Such a person has many friends and siblings, and is endowed with cattle, servants, and a charitable nature. || 5 || If the lords of the tenth house or other powerful planets are situated in the house of enemies or the house of loss [the 12th], there is no happiness regarding the father, mother, or paternal uncles. Wise men do not find peace in such a household. || 6 || Even if malefic planets are in the third house, if they are joined by benefic planets and are not otherwise censured, there is no lack of knowledge of siblings; however, there will be various types of fears and considerations regarding one's position. If the lord of the birth is joined with the lord of the third house and aspected by Mars original: "Agnija," fire-born, one does not enjoy the happiness of siblings. If the lord of the house is not joined with its own lord, there is no happiness from siblings born afterward. || 7 || If those born of the self [siblings] are Folio 5 situated between malefics, or joined with malefics, or aspected by Mars, then there is no happiness from younger siblings; even from the elder siblings, happiness does not arise. || 8 || Thus ends the section from the Chintamani.

If the Moon original: "Himagau," the cool-rayed one is situated in the third house, the person has a steady yet sometimes fickle mind, and relies on their siblings. They are joyful, of moderate means, but a sweet-speaker and happy. || 9 || Such a person is always delighted by fine clothing, good friends, and vehicles, and is fond of battle?.

When a person has planets in the house of relatives, and they are powerful?, there is mutual enmity and the person is constantly worried about their happiness?. || 10 || If Saturn is placed among the elders, it destroys them; if Mars is so placed at birth, it destroys the siblings unless aspected by Jupiter. || 11 || A person becomes a conqueror in battle, famous among friends, and highly courageous when the son of the Earth [Mars] is in the third house. || 12 || If the Moon is in the third house at birth, the person may have a body lacking in skill, be a glutton?, and appear quite miserable. There may be fear regarding the wife or constant distress. || 13 || Nei If the one worshiped by the gods [Jupiter] is in the third house, the person is devoted to their wife, but may be lazy, stingy, or prone to quarrels with kinsmen, and overcome by addictions. || 14 || If Venus is in the third house, the person is conquered by love, yet possesses happiness, fame, and is adorned with enthusiasm and fine possessions. They are bold, multifaceted, and beloved by the king. || 15 || When the son of the Shadow [Saturn] is in the third house, the person is brave, wise, but may have a lean or unkempt body. They are helpful to others and destroy their enemies. They possess broad intelligence, strength, and give happiness to others. || 16 ||

Likewise, in the Saranshamuchchaya: The third house produces siblings when its lord is in a benefic house or aspected by a benefic planet. If it is joined or aspected by a malefic planet, it does not produce the prosperity of siblings. || 17 || One should determine the number of siblings by the number of Navamshas a one-ninth divisional chart the lord of the third house has traversed. || 18 || If the lord of the third house is aspected by Mars, it destroys those already born. If aspected by Venus and Jupiter, it always protects the co-heirs. If aspected by Mercury in its own house, it brings familiarity with other friends. Thus ends the yoga for the destruction of friendship in the Jatakalpaya and the remainder. || 19 || Thus ends the section in the Saravali and the Saranshamuchchaya regarding the fruits of the Third House.
