This library is built in the open.
If you spot an error, have a suggestion, or just want to say hello — we’d love to hear from you.

This view captures the spine and the fore-edge of the closed volume. The spine is bound in the same mottled leather described on the front cover, providing a sturdy anchor for the internal leaves.
The leaf edges—the outer margins of the paper visible when the book is closed—appear in their natural state. In some luxury bindings, these edges might be "gilded" (covered in gold leaf) or "sprinkled" with color to prevent dust from seeping into the pages; here, they remain plain, consistent with a functional scholarly manuscript.
The shelfmark is the unique location code used by the library to identify and retrieve the volume.
This manuscript is held in the collection of the Royal Library in The Hague original: "Koninklijke Bibliotheek, Den Haag". The digitization of this work was made possible through the Early European Books project by ProQuest, which aims to preserve and provide access to primary sources from the early modern period.
