Author Prithuyashas The son of the legendary 6th-century astronomer-astrologer Varahamihira.

Extent 7 [folios] Age 1880 This refers to the Vikram Samvat calendar; the year 1880 corresponds to approximately 1823–1824 CE.

Subject Astrology Jyotisham One of the Vedangas, or "limbs of the Vedas," which traditionally includes both astronomy and astrology.
