original: "JUMBOO." This is an archaic colonial-era spelling for the city of Jammu. Prince Ram Singh (1860–1899) was the brother of Maharaja Pratap Singh and served as the commander-in-chief of the state forces.

Om! Salutations to the Day-maker original: "Divasakara," a common epithet for the Sun, to Tvashtr the divine celestial architect, and to the guardians... [I bow to] the Lords of the Night, the friends of the soul, the Lord of the Thirty Gods original: "Tridashapati," a title for Indra, the king of the gods, the rulers of the night and day, and the universal masters who are free from fear.
