This folio is a flyleaf, a protective sheet of parchment traditionally placed at the beginning or end of a manuscript. It contains no historical text, diagrams, or annotations from the original scribe.
The parchment shows significant signs of its age and history, characterized by water staining along the left margin and foxing small, brownish-yellow spots caused by the oxidation of minerals in the paper or the growth of fungi over centuries scattered throughout the surface.
