O Goddess, and must be guarded with great effort. O beautiful-faced one, it is the true measure [of success]. One should not reveal the truth without being asked,
O Parvati. Why, O Lord, does the vision fade through neglect? All auspicious and inauspicious
signs original: "nimittāni"; the OCR indicates a red pigment smudge here are on one side; on the other side is the mind's focus,
which brings victory. These signs are
subtle, devoid of a physical body or senses. They are a radiance within the
bodies of those who know the fruits of the three times the "three times" (tri-kala) are the past, present, and future. Therefore, whether a sign is auspicious or
inauspicious, one should contemplate it through this inner radiance. Power and natural disposition, O God,
[are seen] in enthusiasm and passion. From the sounds of instruments to insults, whether they are flourishing
or fading—a reversal of omens at the time
of engagement should be managed by waiting out the time or through atonement
of the conscious soul. Vowels, colors, and the planets are not merely skillful markers; sva
they are pointed out here as the path for all... who in union daye
