The hair of the body is one type of Vegetation, and the great heat of the body is the Fire. Within the body dwells joy, and that which is primordial appears as radiance. 30. The vapor that emerges from the skin is of the same nature as the Aura original: "San-rupa." Literally "truth-form" or "radiant form.". The manifest form is one's own true nature, and the orientations like "East" are the forms of the directions. 31. The openings of the body are the Sky. The two eyes are known as the Sun and the Moon. One should know the ears as the planets Jupiter and Mars. The form of the mouth is understood as Mercury original: "Chand-sut," literally "son of the moon.". 32. Consider the waking state to be the Day, and the state of deep sleep to be the Night. Wind is the cause of joy and sorrow, and the expansion of body heat is the Summer season. 33. The pervading cold is described as Winter, and those of equal temperament know the Rainy Season. The heart is the Clouds, laughter is the lightning, and the manifestation of Gnosis original: "Gyana." Spiritual knowledge or insight. is the light of the heavens. 34.
Couplet
The animal possesses indwelling knowledge, but in the human, knowledge is primary. Contemplate the meditation of the Sacred Books original: "Pustaka." and understand the syllables of the Vedas Ancient sacred scriptures.. 35.
The Supreme Soul original: "Parmahansa." Literally the "Great Swan," a title for a liberated soul. is within the "World-Egg," and that soul resides within it. Similarly, the "Speaking Person" within the body is called the Soul, the source of all flavor and sound. 36. The Soul is bound within the Microcosm, yet it remains both smeared and unsmeared original: "lep alep." A philosophical concept where the soul interacts with the world but remains untainted by it. by it. In the same way, the Absolute original: "Brahma." The ultimate reality. pervades the Macrocosm; thus the singers of hymns describe it as both attached and unattached. 37. Thus the Supreme Soul remains absorbed; in this way, the Breath and the Soul are within the body.
