A circular seal for the University of Toronto. The central shield is divided into four sections and features a royal crown, two open books, and a beaver. Above the shield sits a crest depicting a pine tree. Below the shield is a scroll with the motto "May it grow as a tree through the ages" original Latin: "VELUT ARBOR ÆVO". The words "UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO" are inscribed within the circular border of the seal.
