Old Stories
The following nine stories have been selected from the "New Collection of Famous Tales" original: "Shin-Chomon-Shū", the "One Hundred Tales" original: "Hyaku Monogatari", the "Selections from the Tales Gleaned at Uji" original: "Uji-Jūi-Monogatari-Shō", and other old Japanese books to illustrate some strange beliefs. They are presented merely as curiosities original: "Curios"; refers to rare or unusual objects of interest.
