If that planet is a malefic original: krūre; a "cruel" planet like Saturn or Mars, the person has short limbs, is unusually tall, and suffers from chronic illness. He lives in such misery that he is like the "living dead" original: jīvanmṛta. However, if a benefic planet original: saumya-gaganācare; a "gentle sky-traveler" is present, the man is happy. 8

Even if joined by a malefic planet, his character remains virtuous, and his heart is inclined toward bringing joy to the public. 11
When the Lord of Gains is in the Twelfth House original: dvādaśāṅge; the house of loss, he enjoys the things he produces himself. He is a man of pride and a generous giver, yet he often remains personally sorrowful.
When the Lord of Expenditure original: vyayanāthe; the 12th lord resides in the Ascendant original: lagnagate, the person travels to foreign lands. He is true to his word and handsome, yet he suffers from the flaw of being gossiped about original: apasaṅgavāda-doṣe. He remains youthful in his habits and eats simple grains. 1
