...[For those with] firm and leading qualities. One whose waist is well-formed like a monkey's, and whose eyes are slanted or crooked, is not auspicious. In the matter of sexual union rati, one who possesses the nature of a deer original: "mriga-yoni"; refers to one of the traditional classifications of sexual types based on animal characteristics is blessed and successful at the right time. A man whose gait is graceful and whose mind is virtuous will possess beautiful limbs.
One who resembles a tiger is a lord of diseases; one with a chest shaped like a [specific] fruit is of mediocre fortune. A man whose chest is like a lion's is a possessor of wealth, grain, and great strength.
Iti ura lakshana These traits describe the breadth and shape of the chest as indicators of destiny.
For men, a round and very deep navel is a sign of great renown. A red or discolored navel is a constant giver of sorrow.
Iti nabhi sapta-lakshmana
One with a deep navel becomes a king bhupati. One with a protruding or raised navel is abandoned by women. One with a rough-textured navel [faces hardship], but one with a deep and well-formed navel becomes a protector of people prajapati.
Iti kuti lakshanam
Now, regarding the breasts of men. Those men whose breasts are well-rounded like those of women are praised in the art of sexual union and become favorites of women. Conversely, those men whose breasts are not round like those of women, but are instead loose, sagging, and devoid of flesh, are destined to be partakers of sorrow.
Iti purusha stana lakshanam
For those whose heart and chest are broad and fleshy...
