Discourse on the Astrology of Birth

Sutra 6 He possesses a dual nature original: "dvi-svabhava" and is faithful to his own wife. He is **content** and highly **fortunate**. Endowed with a virtuous essence, his face shows signs of constant suffering caused by an imbalance of the fire and wind elements Vahni-Vata: an Ayurvedic concept where the fire (Pitta) and air (Vata) humors are disturbed. He does not have much hair, yet he possesses a resonant voice. He is composed of the three bodily humors Dhatu: the fundamental biological tissues of the body. There is a specific sign Lakshana: a bodily mark or omen located near the navel or on the right eye. His house faces the south. He is of a good and steady character and is honored by kings.

In the first half of the first month, there is suffering from a blood-related ailment. At 4 months, there is suffering from fever. At 8 months, he suffers from diarrhea. At 1 year of age, there is a danger of jaundice. At 5 years, he suffers from fever, headache, and diarrhea. At 7 years, there is a danger from water. At 9 years, there is a fear of dogs. At 12 years, there is a fear of cremation grounds. At 28 years, he is afflicted by the loss of wealth and great distress. There is also a fear of snakes and a decline in religious merit; nonetheless, he is wise and a knower of the scriptures. At 37 years, he resides in a foreign land and faces a danger from poison. If a beneficent planet original: "shubha-graha" is present in the birth chart, he lives for eighty years.

Death occurs in the month of Ashadha roughly June–July during the dark fortnight, on either the seventh or the first day, on a Wednesday or a Thursday. It occurs during the first watch of the day under the Bharani the second lunar mansion or Nakshatra, ruled by Yama, the god of death star, due to the astrological flaw of Vishti an inauspicious timing in the lunar calendar.
