One becomes the Lamp of the Lineage original: "Kuladipaka," one who brings great glory and light to their family line when Rahu the North Node of the Moon, a "shadow planet" in Vedic astrology is in its exaltation and Jupiter original: "Jiva," the planet of wisdom and life is situated in a center Kendra: the 1st, 4th, 7th, or 10th houses of a birth chart, which act as the pillars of a person's life or a trine Trikona: the 1st, 5th, or 9th houses, associated with grace and past-life merit.

When Venus original: "Shukra" is in the house of gains the 11th house, the Moon original: "Rajanikara," literally the Night-Maker is in the third or fifth house, and Rahu is in the house of enemies the 6th house, a center, or the house of loss the 12th house, then the person becomes either a lord of the earth or a minister to a king.

However, when Rahu is placed in the eighth house the house of death and longevity and the Moon original: "Chandrama" is in a center, death will come to the child immediately; of this, there is no doubt. Furthermore, when Rahu is in the fourth house and the Moon original: "Shashi" is in the sixth or eighth house, the death of the child will occur within twenty days; of this, there is no doubt.

If Rahu is in the seventh house at the time of birth, then upon reaching his sixteenth year, his death will occur; of this, there is no doubt.

When Jupiter original: "Jiva" alone is in the ascendant Lagna: the zodiac sign rising on the eastern horizon at the moment of birth, representing the self and the body, all other planetary combinations then become auspicious. Such a person will be long-lived, highly intelligent, and a leader of sevenfold prosperity.

But if Rahu is in the ascendant and the Moon is in a center, immediate death will befall the newborn child; of this, there is no doubt. If Saturn original: "Shani" is in the fourth house, and Jupiter is in the eighth or twelfth...
