Mercury implied by context in the fourth house relates to the maternal uncle. Jupiter in the sixth house relates to the father or mother. Venus in the seventh house relates to the wife. Saturn in the eighth house relates to one's own self. When malefic planets original: "krure," meaning 'cruel' planets like Mars or Saturn are so placed, they cause suffering. Likewise, suffering occurs if malefic planets are in the Ascendant, the twelfth house, or the eighth house.
