Discourse on the Astrology of Birth

As a heart-illuminating light original: "hridipa-stamanas-kari," likely referring to the clarity this knowledge provides, if the Ascendant Lagna: the zodiac sign rising on the eastern horizon at birth is in Pisces original: "Meena" with Jupiter and Venus present, the Sun is in Aries, and Mars is in Capricorn, then in the lineage of the tenth house the house of career and public status, the father’s son shall become a king or a powerful ruler. and if the lords of the centers Kendra: the 1st, 4th, 7th, and 10th houses are situated in the ninth house the house of fortune and dharma and are aspected viewed by the astrological 'gaze' of other planets by the father, or are in the second house,

॥ 12 then that man becomes equal to a King or a Universal Emperor Chakravarti: an ideal universal ruler. If the Moon is joined with the sixth or eighth house, the child will suffer from weak digestion original: "mandagni," literally 'slow fire', stomach ailments, or may even be born with deficient limbs.

If Rahu the North Node of the Moon is in the third, sixth, or eleventh house; if Mars is in the third, sixth, or eleventh house; or if Saturn original: "Shora," a variant of Shanaishchara is in the third, sixth, or eleventh house, these placements will ward off misfortunes original: "arishta-nivarayet," specifically referring to childhood dangers. If these planets occupy the houses of growth Upachaya: the 3rd, 6th, 10th, and 11th houses where planets improve over time, or are in the centers or trines, he shall attain all success and receive royal honors.

Mercury implied by context in the fourth house relates to the maternal uncle. Jupiter in the sixth house relates to the father or mother. Venus in the seventh house relates to the wife. Saturn in the eighth house relates to one's own self. When malefic planets original: "krure," meaning 'cruel' planets like Mars or Saturn are so placed, they cause suffering. Likewise, suffering occurs if malefic planets are in the Ascendant, the twelfth house, or the eighth house.
