One should write out the eight-year and twelve-year cycles, combined with one's own period of experience bhoga: the duration of a vowel's active influence. The calculation involves dividing by eleven parts to find the strength of the vowel. From the experience, the name of the vowel and the "Time-Rising" vowel original: "kālodayī-svara" are identified. This is known through the four Vedas, with the vowel 'A' serving as the basis. By following the reverse order, the twenty-fold calculation viṃśopaka: a unit of measure representing 1/20th, used here to quantify auspiciousness results in seventy-two units. The eyes of the Vedas and their limbs a reference to the Vedangas or auxiliary sciences are then counted in the sequence of the Vedas. One brings forth the vowels starting with 'A' and calculates from the "Child" stage onward once more. (72–74)
In the twelve-year cycles, the vowels starting with 'A' are situated; among them, five states are inauspicious and seven are auspicious. (74) In the first half of the time, there is growth and strength; the remaining half is to be divided to distinguish between the good and the bad. The twelve-year cycles are marked by their internal intervals. In these, the auspicious ones should be placed on one side and the inauspicious on the other. The nature of the auspicious and inauspicious results is known through the signs zodiacal signs and planets. Subtracting from the total, the remainder reveals the fruit of that particular subject. When multiplied by twenty and divided by sixty, the remaining vimsopakas act as indicators of the auspicious or inauspicious outcome. (78)
The "Lump" Piṇḍa: the physical body or the total sum of elements is born of one's own karma; within this body, one should understand the influence of the planets. Within the vowels of the zodiac signs, the "Soul" jīva is active. The letters varṇāḥ should be understood as the measurement of that soul. The result for women is determined through the "measurements" mātrā. Knowing this, O Goddess, one can perceive the auspicious and inauspicious nature of the day. These vowels are said to provide results equal to the passage of years. Likewise, their fruit should be grasped at the time of inquiry based on one's own "rising" breath. (82)
In the village or in any situation, including death, through the fifty variations of one's own group the vargas or categorized letters of the alphabet, the different results are spoken. There, the different vowels shine forth like water. (82) This has been described in many ways by those with varied intelligence. Within the doctrine of the "Branch of Names," the sages have determined this: just as a small boat can cross the ocean, so too does this knowledge help one cross the difficulties of life. (83)
Thus ends the Circle of Vowels Svarachakra.
Now I shall clearly explain the Svarodaya Svarodaya: the science of the rising breath or sound as it exists within the physical body. By understanding the movement of the "Swan" Haṃsa-cāra: the rhythmic movement of the breath (inhale/exhale), one gains knowledge of the three times past, present, and future. (1)
