The Rhythm of the Lunar and Solar Breath

In contrast, the Sun (Right) channel is praised for:

• Disputes, gambling, and warfare
• Bathing, eating, and sexual union
• General business dealings or moments of fear

Through the proper application of these channels, all success is attained.

Divination and Conflict

When a question Prashna: a divinatory query is asked, if the breath is in the "life-position" the active nostril, the first person the inquirer will be victorious. However, if the messenger the person bringing the question stands on the side of the "empty" channel the inactive nostril, the second party will prevail.

In times of war, if the breath is steady in the Moon, one definitely wins. If the breath is in the Sun, a great debate or struggle ensues, but victory follows.

The Influence of the Five Elements

The outcome of a conflict can also be determined by the dominant element Tattva: the five fundamental states of energy in the breath during the query:

• Earth Element: A treaty or peace is formed original: "sandhi".
• Water Element: Victory is assured.
• Fire Element: Results in burning or total loss.
• Air Element: Leads to "breaking" or defeat.

If the messenger arrives while the breath is in the "Full Channel" the active nostril, the task will be accomplished. If the enemy is situated in the place of the active channel, they will undoubtedly conquer.

Omens of Position and Breath

The direction of the messenger is critical. One should observe if they stand to the front, left, or right. If the breath flows through the Sun channel and the person is on the right or behind, success is indicated. If the breath flows through the Left (Moon) channel and the person is in front or to the left, victory is certain. 24

Regarding health queries: if the name of the sick person is spoken while the breath is "full," they will live; otherwise, they will not. In matters of sleep or romantic union with a young woman, if the breath flows through the Sun and then the Moon, one becomes like the God of Love original: "Makardhwaja," a title for Kamadeva.
