...50: One born under these conditions may have little or great wealth. They are kind to others, yet may appear poor or unkempt due to a "bad combination" Kuyoga: a planetary alignment that produces negative results. 51: Such a person is dependent on others, afflicted by misfortunes, and may suffer from social or physical defects from birth. 52: If the planets are further Oppressed, the person is constantly beset by fear of enemies, loses their natural vitality and self-esteem, and is often overwhelmed by various vices or addictions.

53: In the Miserable state, the individual is truly wretched, living in fear of infamy or public disgrace. They suffer physical pain and lose their inner "glow" or complexion. Abandoning moral conduct original: "tyakta-niti", they remain impoverished. 54: They may live in foreign lands, suffer the loss of their inheritance, and be excessively worried about their spouse. Such a person is prone to sudden anger and suffers through constant quarrels. 55: They are often abandoned by their kin and live in fear of fire, the wrath of the government original: "bhupa," literally "king" or "earth-protector", or thieves. They are frequently seen wearing dirty or tattered clothing.

The Theory of Planetary Aspects

56: These are the results of the "Blazing" and other planetary states. Now, the various degrees of "sight" or aspects are described: the quarter-aspect, the half-aspect of the trine, and the Full Aspect. These are determined according to the rules of the scriptures. 57: Regarding the Full Aspect Purna-drishti:

• Saturn original: "Surya-putra," the Son of the Sun gazes fully upon the 3rd and 10th houses from its position.
• Mars original: "Bhauma" gazes fully upon the 4th and 8th houses.
• Jupiter original: "Jiva" gazes fully upon the 5th and 9th houses.
• All planets gaze with full strength upon the 7th house the house directly opposite them.
