Where Mercury Jna is indeed situated, there is the connection with sisters. Where Jupiter Vacaspati is situated, there a son [is predicted]; and where the "son" original: "putras," here likely referring to Jupiter's influence or a specific degree is, there a daughter is declared. || 44 ||
Where Saturn Manda is situated, there happiness related to the mother is declared. In standard astrology, the Moon represents the mother; this text specifically assigns this result to Saturn's position in this divisional context. In this way, one should determine happiness and other life fruits according to the planets. || 45 ||
One should know the portions and degrees of the Lord of the Ascendant Lagnadhisha; the planet ruling the 1st house and the Lord of the Seventh House Madadhisha; the planet ruling the house of marriage. || 46 ||
Having multiplied [their values] or by the difference between them, one should declare the year in which marriage will occur. Based on the position of those two [lords] in a house or their conjunction, or similarly in this [divisional chart]... having set aside the zodiac sign original: "rāśiṃ vihāya," likely meaning to ignore the sign number and only use the degrees and doubling the result, that year also grants marriage.
