The Sun with The Mighty original: "Magha/Matta"; the Moon with The Branched original: "Vishakha"; Mars with The Nourisher original: "Pushya"; Mercury with Roots original: "Mula"; Jupiter with The Hundred Physicians original: "Shatabhisha/Varuna"; Venus with The Red One original: "Rohini"; and Saturn with The Ancestors original: "Magha/Pitre"—all these are declared by the Sages to be All-Destroying Combinations original: "Sarva-ghata Yoga".
In the same way, the following are unlucky: [Sunday with the twelfth], Venus original: "Bhargava" on the second lunar day; the Son of the Moon term: "Somasuta" — Mercury on the third; Jupiter on the fourth; Saturn on the fifth; the Moon on the thirteenth; and the Sun original: "Bhaskara" on the fourteenth. These are always remembered as being like fire. || Thus ends the Burned Lunar Day Yoga original: "Tithi-dagdha-yoga" ||
On the sixth lunar day if it is Saturn's day; on the seventh if it is Venus's original: "Bhargava" day; on the eighth if it is the Minister of the Gods' term: "Deva-mantri" — Jupiter day; on the ninth if it is Mercury's day; on the tenth if it is Mars's original: "Bhaumavara" day; and on the eleventh if it is the Moon's original: "Shashanka" day—one should avoid these days as their rays are sinful. The results of these combinations are like being cut by a saw, in due order. || Thus ends the Saw Combination original: "Krakacha-yoga" ||
On the seventh lunar day if it is the Sun's day; on the first original: "Pratipada" if it is Mercury's; on the eleventh if it is the Moon's; on the ninth if it is the Son of the Earth's term: "Bhusuta" — Mars; on the tenth if it is Saturn's original: "Shaure"; on the twelfth original: "Vaivasvati" if it is the Sun's; and on the thirteenth if it is Venus's—this combination is known as The Destroyer original: "Samvarta". It causes the destruction of wisdom and means, as well as death and disease. Thus ends the Destruction Combination. ||
Marriage, travel, gathering wealth, and auspicious rites for cattle should be avoided here. In marriages [performed during these times], widowhood surely follows.
