During this time, there is travel to foreign lands, a decline in religious merit dharma, and the onset of diseases such as those caused by poisoning. Everywhere one looks, there is a threat of physical decline or a "fall of the body," and a loss of wealth. 1
Now follow the results of the sub-period middle of Rahu within its own major cycle. In the sub-period of Rahu, there is calamity for the wife, general destruction, and loss. There is a wasting away of resources, and while traveling in other countries, one suffers a loss of dignity and respect. 2
The person is freed from disease and sorrow and becomes a worshipper of the gods and the Brahmins Brāhmaṇa: the priestly or scholarly class. One becomes endowed with great wealth and splendor when Jupiter Guru enters the sub-period of Rahu.
There is suffering caused by imbalances of the wind Vāta and bile Pitta humors The text refers to the Ayurvedic "Doshas" or bodily constitutions. One faces quarrels with their own kinsmen. There may be wandering or even death in a [foreign] land when Saturn Shani arrives in the sub-period of Rahu.
One experiences association with kings and the arrival of wealth, yet there is also destruction... The text here is slightly fragmented due to ink smudging ...causing grief from disease as the influence of Rahu continues.
