Subtract from the planetary rising the value of four hundred and eighty-four original: turyebha — a numerical code where turya is 4, ibha is 8, and bha is 4 decreased by one thousand original: ravishata — literally "ten hundreds," often signifying the number 1000 in astronomical calculations. 20 From that, the remainder of the rising should be directed toward the quarters. 43
Where the calculation is not yet purified, one finds the degree of the planet 10 and its Radiant Portion Tejobha original: tejobha — the specific mathematical strength or "light" of a planet used to determine its influence during a given period.. The experienced portion of the period Dasha is calculated by adding the planetary values. After subtracting the hundreds, the rising values are found as before. These are the observed degrees of the signs. 44
The numerical values are as follows:
Fifteen (15);
two hundred and seventy-three (273);
three hundred and twenty-seven (327);
three hundred and thirty (330);
three hundred and fifteen (315);
and two hundred and forty-eight (248).
These values apply to the signs beginning with Aries Mesha. For the first six signs, they are applied in regular order, and for the signs beginning with Libra original: olyā — a corruption or variant of tulā (Libra), they are applied in reverse order.
