Who is the scribe of the morning? In the house of origins original: "nidāne"; referring here to the fourth house of foundations, if happiness is not present, there is a sense of defeat and misfortune regarding the results.
Regarding the results of the fifth house, the person is born from the dust of the lotus metaphor for being virtuous or well-born; they are considered a destroyer of enemies and should perform their duties with a sound intellect.
One attains the splendor of marriage, yet there may be an absence of sons and descendants original: "sutādeḥ-abhāvaḥ". The intellect is fixed upon the truth of divine glory and fame. Even if the preceptor Jupiter is in a difficult position, one's reputation among women original: "bhāminīnām" remains.
If there is an absence of close kinsmen term: sapinda (relatives connected through shared ancestral offerings), the lineage remains unbroken. One does not dwell in one place for long; the residence in a house is not permanent.
The body remains free of disease unless Jupiter is in a fallen state, in which case one may suffer from skin diseases original: "kushtha". For one whose wealth resides in a four-storied house, they become a beloved of the Goddess of Fortune Lakshmi and the gods.
When the Preceptor Jupiter is in the House of Dharma the 9th house of religion and law, the person is wise, humble, and leisurely original: "madālaso"; can imply a relaxed or non-striving disposition. He is not one who creates flaws in religious conduct.
In a hall of banners and a gallery of paintings, he shines with great luster due to the ancestral offerings original: "pārvaṇāt" made by his father. Indeed, through his actions, he may recite the Mantras of the Sea original: "Sāmudra-mantre"; likely referring to the Samudrika Shastra or oceanic lore daily for the sake of his sons.
When Jupiter is in the house of gains, what is not obtainable? The wise say that such a person becomes a lord among men, like Indra. They are respectful of the father and possess unshakeable wealth original: "akupyacalā"; specifically referring to gold and precious metals that do not lose value.
What is the nature of their fame? In matters of pride, what is the nature of their intellect? If there is an occasion for speech, what is the nature of the ritual?
