Regarding the Eleventh Part original: "ekādaśāṃśa"; a technical division of a time period or astrological sign into eleven segments: in this system, the eleventh part consists of five ghatikas A traditional Indian unit of time lasting 24 minutes. and twenty-seven palas A smaller unit of time; 60 palas make one ghatika (1 pala = 24 seconds).. 5 Following this is the subsequent duration original: "bhoga" and the subsequent rising.
The breakdown of this rising is as follows: within each period of five ghatikas and twenty-seven palas, there are eleven cycles. For whichever lunar day original: "tithi" is occurring, there are three repetitions of its "turn" or "day." This triple repetition also applies to others.
The letters of a person's name, from the initial character to the final vowel, begin their own specific cycles. For an individual whose name-letter falls at the bottom of their respective category, the vowels begin with the seven-lettered sequence starting from the letter Na, or otherwise beginning with the consonant groups Ka, Cha, Ta, Ta, Pa, and Ma.
The text now describes the specific results and strengths of these vowels for the wise and for rulers. The vowels are categorized by life-stages, which determine their effectiveness:
Based on these stages, the "high" vowels indicate either an increase original: "upcaya" or a loss original: "hāni". Furthermore, there is a distinction between the "deceased" vowel and the Nectar-Vowel original: "amṛtasvara"; indicating a highly auspicious or life-giving sound.
