65. The vowels of the letters of a name, and the zodiac signs, should be examined along with their respective vowel-mantras and the like, and then inscribed upon a single line. There, within the number 16, through the four signs original: debhī - likely a shorthand for the four directions or quadrants, the auspicious and inauspicious life-forces are determined from the marks. From the groups of vowels beginning with the aggregate Pinda—the total calculation—and not again from the remainder. The purity of the measure is performed... from the planet that has been defeated by Jupiter referring to planetary war or Graha Yuddha... in the Ashvini The first Nakshatra or lunar mansion verse, through the unions of the measure-vowel, the life-vowel, and the body-vowel. The zodiac sign of the name-vowel is the measure of the life-breath of those letters.
