The Five Sounds

Beginning with the letter A, one should write the deities below in the order of the final letters. 57 In the rows of vowels, ending with the letter Ha, they are placed along with their weapons In Tantric astrology, letters are often personified as deities carrying specific symbolic weapons. Below that, groups of three should be written, starting with the letter Na, within the five vowel groups. 58

The Sun, Mercury, the Moon, Jupiter, Venus, and Saturn are thus established. The days until the end of the month of Kartika October–November are multiplied by nine. 59 There are fourteen days; the Ghatikas Ghatika: a traditional unit of time equal to 24 minutes are multiplied by two. 60

The seven days of the week are produced within the five vowel groups. 61 In the vowel A, the five constellations original: "bha," referring to Nakshatras or lunar mansions beginning with Revati are placed; similarly, five constellations are assigned to each of the vowels starting with I. 61 The manuscript repeats the verse number 61

...extending from the power of Indra to the end, the Zodiac signs original: "rasi" are placed... 63 ...moving... 66 The Nara Chakra original: "Nara Chakram"; a diagram where astrological influences are mapped onto a human figure to predict physical effects is formed from the letters of the alphabet. 62

Starting from one's own birthday, until the month of Kartika, [counting] twenty-one days, one reaches the planetary connection in the first year. 63 Wherever the first letter of the name falls, that vowel is designated as the "Child" original: "Bala-sangya". From one's birth vowel, the second vowel in the sequence is the "Youth" original: "Kumaraka". 64 ...the next is known as "Action" original: "Karma-sangya"...
