For the conception ādhāna: the astrological moment of fertilization or the beginning of a process, one should add nine. For the body-sum piṇḍa: a numerical total derived from the letters of a name or birth data, one should add the specific group-value 73. In the sequence of two lines, for the stages starting from birth and others, one should combine four and three to act like the birth-calculation. Thus, one creates the Wheel of Five 74.

If the Moon is joined with a zero, and Mars is joined with the "death-combination" 78...

If Mercury is in the middle of three, death occurs when the malefics are in excess; of this there is no doubt. When the Moon is positioned between malefics, even for a man who avoids the middle 79, if there is an excess of malefics, death is to be known through those malefics and not otherwise.
