Sa. Du. These are the sons of the Sun and the practitioners of yoga, each characterized by their wealth of virtue.
5 A man becomes a ruler Parthivah|Literally "son of the earth," a term for a king or sovereign. A stream of sages, humble in their duty,
whether through their intellect or even when born in poverty. (50) Thus conclude the Characteristics of Virtue original: "dharma-lakshana".
Radha In a pale-golden complexion original: "gaura-varna"; often associated with the priestly or royal classes, and with the possession of a cow, there shall be a kingdom. With a black complexion, he is a poet;
so too, with a white complexion, a kingdom is attained. Such a man is recognized. (51) A man with
the color of honey, or [whose essence is like] milk newly obtained, or like the interior of a lotus, shall enjoy
the fruits of agriculture and become a ruler. (52) One with the scent of lac original: "laksha"; a red resinous secretion from insects, used as a dye and perfume performs
deeds toward liberation. White garments in battle... his
fragrance and his wealth [are noted]. (53) One with the scent of camphor original: "karpura" and a cow
shall possess royal happiness. A white archway, a cow... [regarding] semen... a man who experiences
pleasures even in poverty. (54)
With semen the color of a rain-cloud, he shall become a king without a doubt.
With dark-toned semen, the man shall be an enjoyer of physical pleasures.
(55) Thus conclude the Characteristics of Vitality original: "virya-lakshanam"; referring to the qualities of semen as an indicator of destiny and health. A thousand listeners...
