He has eyes like... original: "caśnanayanaḥ"; likely a scribal error for "cañcala-nayana" (restless eyes) or "cakra-nayana" (round eyes) and is marked with lines on his feet pādarekhā: in Samudrika Shastra (physiognomy), specific lines on the soles are believed to indicate a person's destiny or wealth. There is a lotus-like mark kamala-lakṣaṇa: an auspicious sign shaped like a lotus flower on his right side and a mark on his left shoulder. His relationships with women are difficult original: "striyo-viṣamāḥ"; suggests either a lack of harmony or an irregular domestic life. He sleeps with his head toward the West The number 7 follows this in the text, likely referring to a verse number or a specific ritual classification or his head toward the North, and he travels facing the South.
He is long-lived dīrghāyu: a term denoting a life span that exceeds the average, typically reaching into old age and will attain a position in a foreign land. He is indeed a man of enjoyment and possessions original: "bhogavān"; one who enjoys the pleasures of the senses and material wealth and a husband. In his fifth or seventh year, there is a danger of fire agni-bhaya: an astrological prediction of injury by fire or fever during a specific period. In his twelfth year, there is danger from a bull original: "vṛṣabhaye"; a common prediction in historical agrarian societies. If he is aspected by auspicious planets shubha-graha: planets like Jupiter or Venus whose "gaze" (aspect) provides protection, he shall always live for seventy-five years.
