This is what is called the "Awakened" [Udipta] state. In the system known as the "Supreme Mother Vowel," the numerical value of the lunar date [tithyaṅke] is fixed along with the numerical value of the age and zodiac sign [vayo rāśi].

In this way, having combined [ekīkṛtya] the four numbers and placing them in three positions [sthāna traye]: for the first, multiply by two and find the remainder after dividing by seven. For the second, multiply by four and find the remainder after dividing by eight. For the third, multiply by three and find the remainder [śeṣayet] after dividing by six. One should then place these remaining numbers in order, one below the other [adhodhaḥ krameṇa sthāpayet].
Then, having provided the numerical value of the age and zodiac sign fixed in the lunar date system known as the "Seed Vowel," and following that—according to the teaching: by half of this the number should be given—and having given nine, thus having combined the four numbers and placing them in three positions, as before: for the first, [multiply] by two...
