If Mars original: "भूसुत" (bhūsuta); 'Son of the Earth', Rahu the North Node of the Moon, and Venus original: "शुक्र" (śukra) occupy three consecutive lunar mansions original: "नक्षत्र" (nakṣatra) in relation to one another, then the

If Mars original: "भूसुत" (bhūsuta) and Venus original: "भार्गव" (bhārgava) are both situated in the sign of Pisces, there is strength and growth for trees, but scanty rainfall original: "स्वल्पवृष्टि" (svalpavṛṣṭi) follows thereafter. 32

Thus ends the section on the combined effects of the planets. Next, I shall describe other omens determined by the lunar day original: "तिथि" (tithi), the weekday original: "वार" (vāra), and the conjunctions occurring at the end of the months.

If on the seventh day of the bright half of Chaitra there is thunder, the people [suffer]; it will not rain during the proper rainy season.
