These are the significations of the Ninth House, traditionally associated with dharma and fortune.Business, status, honor, career, victory, good fame, rituals, livelihood,
celestial movements, qualities, activity, travel, command, and the "Mid-heaven" Meshurana|10th House. Profit, income, arrivals, attainment, success, splendor,
acquisition, existence, praiseworthiness,
elder brothers, the other ear meaning the left ear, refined tastes, happiness, and listening. || 15 ||
Verse 15 combines the attributes of the Tenth House (career and status) and the Eleventh House (gains and elder siblings).Sorrow, the feet, the left eye, decline, indicators of loss,
poverty, sin, the bed, expenditure, and the "Hidden" house Rihpha|12th House, and bondage.
These houses have been described in order; then there are the hidden
places, the houses of three-fold loss and defeat. || 16 ||
Verse 16 describes the Twelfth House, focusing on losses and physical/spiritual endings.The eighth, sixth original: "ripu" meaning enemy, and twelfth houses are called "Difficult Houses" Dusthana|Malefic house; the other houses are designated as "Good Houses" Susthana|Benefic house which grant auspicious results.
The Ascendant, the tenth, the seventh, and the fourth houses are called the "Center" Kendra|Angle, also known by the names "Thorn" Kantaka and "The Four Squares" Chatushtaya. || 17 ||
The houses immediately following the Centers are called "Succedent" Panaphara; the ones following those are "Cadent" Apoklima.
Furthermore, the eighth and the fourth houses are called "The Square" Chaturasra; the eighth is also the "Death" house Naidhana and the fourth is the "Kinsman" house Bandhubha.
