If in the fourth referring to the fourth 'house' or position in a geomantic chart you seek [an answer], certain figures are strong, such as The People original: "Populus"; geomantic figure: ⁝⁝ and Greater Fortune original: "Fortuna Major"; geomantic figure: ⁝⁝·, and some are weak, such as The Way original: "Via"; geomantic figure: ···· and Lesser Fortune original: "Fortuna Minor"; geomantic figure: ··⁝⁝. I say that twelve signs through themselves move nothing; some are not moved by reason of their site—neither by poverty nor by diminution—as in the example of the figures depicted above the little box. For those that precede are weak, which change and mix themselves in the manner of increase and decrease, so that you may know mercifully how they are mixed with each other according to how this configuration is made between the two. Therefore, let us proceed to the judgment of the houses which are made in the judgment.
Whence you should know how to place good figures similar to themselves or joined to one another in duality, as in this example of The Junction original: "Conjunctio"; geomantic figure: ⁝··⁝, so that it is multiplied as in this example of The Prison original: "Carcer"; geomantic figure: ·⁝⁝·. This is as the first and second, or the first and second and not another; the fruit comes out from two parts by way of generation. It is said: "from good comes good, and from evil comes evil" entirely. Whence, according to their goodness or malice, you shall take care to judge in every place, such as the degree of the fourth, the state of the body, or the strength of life. If in this year it has been fortunate, since beyond the first figure, they recognize [the result] more than other figures; nevertheless, for the judgment of the cause, it all depends on what is joined to it.
White original: "Albus"; geomantic figure: ·⁝·⁝: If it should be in the first house, tell him he will have a good life, an honorable status, and a good state of the body in that year, for the most part.
Gain original: "Acquisitio"; geomantic figure: ⁝·⁝· [or] Joy original: "Laetitia"; geomantic figure: ⁝·⁝⁝: Say that his life will be good and easy, making a profit in whatever he does.
The Girl original: "Puella"; geomantic figure: ⁝⁝·⁝: Say it will be a good status, but better through [other means].
The Boy original: "Puer"; geomantic figure: ··⁝·: Concerning virtuous figures, say to him that he will be in the house of someone local or in some official capacity like a governance, and he will receive a great status from a powerful person, or he will grow to such a degree of fortune that he carries himself like the noble lords.
The Red original: "Rubeus"; geomantic figure: ·⁝·· and The Dragon’s Tail original: "Cauda Draconis"; geomantic figure: ···⁝: These will cause movement from his first state, either in whole or in part, or from friction. In these things, let there be little damage, such as hardship, tribulations, and dangers in a part of a war.
The Dragon’s Head original: "Caput Draconis"; geomantic figure: ⁝⁝⁝·: If he should lead his life with many men, and those fortunes and statuses will be mobile or varied... The text here is slightly fragmented regarding "tonnu" and "eta lue"
Sorrow original: "Tristitia"; geomantic figure: ·⁝⁝⁝ and Loss original: "Amissio"; geomantic figure: ⁝··⁝: He will tempt his life with worldly women just as follows; it makes much of a fall to their senses.
Lesser Fortune original: "Fortuna Minor"; geomantic figure: ··⁝⁝: Whatever is projected from above [by] his blood, so that it may do to another whence either damage will happen through the strife of ancestors, through malicious men, or through the heat of the sun, such as fevers.
If The Prison original: "Carcer"; geomantic figure: ·⁝⁝· and Greater Fortune original: "Fortuna Major"; geomantic figure: ⁝⁝·· [appear], say he will live in many tribulations and present worries, and poverty in every thing, as if a prince were going out, and peace is slippery, and he will labor much in his works.
The Way original: "Via"; geomantic figure: ····: Tell him that in the meantime he will have good things; he will arrive at honor, but with a delay of time.
The Junction original: "Conjunctio"; geomantic figure: ⁝··⁝: Furthermore, note that the whole of these truths is received in the odd point which is in the Judge term: The Judge; the 15th figure in a geomantic reading, created by combining previous figures to provide a final verdict, which is called the 15th, together with the fourth figure which perpetuates from the rising figures equally; and each figure signifies according to its own member.
