Accidental strengthening original: "fortificatio ex accidenti"; a technical term for when a figure gains power due to its position rather than its inherent nature, and therefore it is stronger, just as with horses through [this] strengthening.
According to the diagram original: "grāmā", likely for diagramma, it appears that on the right there are two ill-willed places, namely the Succedents and the Cadents. It should be known that the Angle The "Angles" (1st, 4th, 7th, and 10th houses) are the most powerful positions in a geomantic chart signifies all things that are always in action and presenting themselves. The Succedents Houses 2, 5, 8, and 11, which "follow" the Angles signify things that do not yet exist but ought to happen and can come to pass. The Cadents Houses 3, 6, 9, and 12, which "fall away" from the Angles signify things that have passed and gone or are coming to an end. As for the four figures which are called Angles, Succedents, and Cadents: the first group of figures—that is, the 1st, 4th, 7th, and 10th houses—are the Angles. The second group—the 5th, 8th, and 11th—are the Succedents. The 3rd, 6th, 9th, and 12th are the Cadent figures. Likewise, the Angles signify public matters or those that can easily become public; the Succedents signify private matters. The Cadents signify the past through [already] publicized points. Whence, just as there are three types [of time]—namely present, past, and future—so is the sign of time prefigured in the form of a man. Therefore, every figure in the order of the twelve The twelve "houses" of the geomantic chart, modeled on the zodiac signifies time, but the figures of the Witnesses and the Judge The Witnesses and Judge are the final figures in a geomantic chart, derived from the others to provide the final answer do not pertain to the signification of time because they are outside the celestial circle.
Certain figures signify one letter, while others signify two, but so that our work may be brief, an example of all figures is clear here:
