It Signifies original: "Signat" also naturally health, honor, praise, a midwife original: "mediā' matre", literally "middle mother", the power of medicine, a worthy election, the Lord of kings, a place, an office, a reward, a far-off lord, a judge, a doctor, a craftsman, an abbot, a prior, an abbess, a vicar, a bishop, a patriarch, the Pope, the papacy, a chapter, a count, a marquis, a king, an emperor, a consul, a clergyman, a church benefice, a gathering of scholars, old age, a feast, a beautiful time, paradise, the glory of paradise, a city, fertility, springtime original: "verp̄" for "veris", roads, and other kinds.
In the eleventh house, it is considered whether original: "utrū" someone ought to and is able to have the thing they desire, or not; whether the hope or confidence that someone has is new and whether it should diligently be of any value to them, or not. Truly, whether a friend who is not a relative original: "p'nqū'" for "propinquum" is faithful to them, or not. Whether someone should receive help original: "succursū" or not from a friend, and regarding the light and the long time one stays; whether a friend is mindful or not. Whether someone will be fortunate in such business or not; whether a thing entrusted or requested will come to fulfillment or not. Profit, the census of fortune, a governor, a counselor, a long-standing friend who is a benefactor.
In the twelfth house, these things are considered: whether someone who is lacking or is held in a common palace original: "palacō cōmui'", likely referring to a public prison ought ever to escape or not; whether an exile original: "cōfinat'" ought ever to be recalled to his fatherland or freed from his confinement or not; whether someone has secret enemies or not; whether an English servant original: "seruū anglicū" ought ever to be fraudulent or not; whether such a woman who is a harlot in a brothel original: "p'sibulo" for "prostibulo" loves you or not, and whether she should ever come to you; whether an animal which someone wants to buy—whether young or old—is healthy or infirm. Whether someone ought to be buried honorably or not; whether after death there will be a good or bad reputation for the stranger.
Naturally, it signifies original: "sig̃t" a condemned man, a sad man, a poor man, one deceived, accused, or struck; lamentation, weeping, burial, the dead, darkness, troubles that have no remedy, the blind, the sightless, danger, loss of things, the gallows original: "suspensū", literally "hanging", traitors, a fugitive servant, and a base brothel, a vice in m'vidi'?, an imprudent friend, and not a public place; a place of lamentation, of passion, and infirmities, such as the Hospital of Saint Lazarus a reference to leper colonies or hospitals for the destitute, a household of the spirit, a well, the abyss, the feet; and all these things mentioned above are considered in the houses of the [geomantic] figures.
