An INTRODUCTION, etc.

...here and hereafter. All of this may be prevented during this life by an inward circumcision of the spirit and by mortifying original: "mortifying" — meaning to subdue or deaden through self-discipline one's evil nature, bringing it into subjection to the law of the spirit of holiness. For I must solemnly declare to all those who live loosely and vainly that they will have no part in the first resurrection. Instead, they will be cut off from those pleasant and inconceivable joys, and from the glorious, overflowing springs of refreshment from the presence of GOD and the Lamb A title for Jesus Christ from the Book of Revelation. These may be tasted in this present life as the first fruits The initial portion of a harvest, signifying more to come of the full harvest.

I assert this (based on what I have known in my own experience): even if there were no reward of a future blissful, happy state when this life ends, I would still consider it a very great felicity happiness or intense goodness to have a present participation in the Spirit of Christ. By this, one is clothed with his divine nature and lives in the present enjoyment of all those ineffable too great to be expressed in words privileges original: "immunities" that I have given a real account of here, based on experience. I hope and pray with all the power of prayer that what has been unfolded here by the Holy Spirit of Emmanuel meaning "God with us," a title for Christ may be received and welcomed like the golden oil from the dripping olive tree. I pray that the anointed ones of the LORD may multiply into a priestly kingdom here upon the earth. (This subject was treated and published by the author in 1683, entitled "The Seven Seals Broke Open by Divine Revelation," some copies of which are still in my possession.)

And as the Day of the Spirit rises further and shines forth in the hearts and minds of this present generation—which can only be expected from those upon whom the anointing is poured out plentifully—they may be so well-stocked with that pure grain and golden seed that they may go forth as sowers to sow it everywhere. Oh, how much it is to be wished, and how much joy it would bring me, to know such powerful sowers in our day! They might bring forth a crop of spirits as pure as white lilies, among whom Christ, our Kingly Shepherd, may walk and feed. Then he will no longer be a stranger to his flock here on earth, but will be well known as our constant pasture.

But I will stop here and conclude with these words (as if they were my last dying speech). I direct this to all ranks, classes, and positions, and especially to those who are called and have the liberty to exercise a true spiritual ministry. I want them to understand what this season and time require, as we have now passed the first and second periods of time and have come to the "half-time" A reference to prophetic time cycles often found in the Book of Daniel and Revelation. Therefore, go forth with your anointed shield and with your horn filled with the oil of the Spirit. Do not hesitate to sound your spiritual trumpets to gather people from the ends of the earth. Let them see, know, and partake in this dawning and the "day-star" rising first in our hearts; from there, it will lead us directly to where we may see our Princely Redeemer face to face original: "eye to eye" in kingly majesty. To this end, it is your duty and responsibility to spread original: "propogate" this forerunner of our Lord Christ, which is the ministry of the Spirit. This is the "one and all" that I have to leave and recommend to you who are lovers and travelers in this spiritual way, which has been described here by the
