If you spot an error, have a suggestion, or just want to say hello — we’d love to hear from you.

I have been, and still am, of the same mind: that if such a holy gathering convocation: a large formal assembly or meeting, usually of a religious nature could be brought together in perfect harmony and oneness of spirit, a great witness would be given to it, and mighty things would follow. But alas! (And for this reason a mourning should begin;) the pure spring of life in souls has been stifled and choked by earthly concerns.
I have sadly observed how deeply buried in worldly life most of creation is, across their various ranks and degrees. The higher order of people in this world have every advantage, possessing a fullness of all the desirable things this world can offer. Because they can survive without the toil and labor that others are forced to perform, they have the opportunity to attend to the high and heavenly calling. Therefore, let the great and wealthy ones of this worldly original: "Temporal" state believe and know: it is their duty, and God expects nothing less from them, to honor God primarily with their wealth. Since God has given them such freedom and control over their own time, they should value it highly and secure for themselves the "Pearl of the Kingdom." That treasure can go with them into the heavenly world, while they must leave behind everything belonging to this outward world.
Now I also have a word for the lower ranks, who may indeed have a more valid excuse for their lack of time and freedom, since they are engaged in work necessary to earn a living. Because of this, they cannot be as free to wait for the movements of the heavens.
To this, the Spirit of Christ gives this warning and counsel:
Be careful that worries about the body do not consume your life and spirit, robbing them of all spiritual food and clothing for the soul. Do not be pushed aside or excluded from achieving the stages of the heavenly calling original: "heavenly Vocation", and do not lose all the benefits of living original: "conversation" in heavenly places.
Therefore, be watchful and do not let the outward life crowd out original: "justle out" the inward. Put even one grain of faith into your store of worldly things and keep your eye on God; the blessing of increase will come to you. For the just shall live both spiritually and worldly by faith.
We have examples of what the spirit of faith has produced when God has been trusted. It has produced a thousand times more than all the studying of the head or labor of the hands. As this "Lily of Faith" grows and frees itself from the tangling cords of the senses that have bound it, Solomon in all his glory will not be compared to this blossoming day of the heirs of faith.
