Thus the unwearied soul goes on from strength to strength and has now come to the fourth point: the arrival, to appear before God in Zion. original: "Sion"
This is a high and glorious arrival; this is a rest that can never be disturbed. original: "dis-rested of" Now the everlasting gates open to receive the faithful traveler who has endured its state of probation. original: "Probation-State"; a period of testing or trial on earth to prove one's faith.
It remains further to give you an account (as the fifth point) of the traveler’s welcome there. The first to appear are the Angelic Order original: "Angelical Order" who stand before the throne. They are commanded to usher in the arrived soul, bringing forth the Royal Robe which is entirely pure and light, without any stain of the fallen night. original: "Fallen-Night"; likely referring to the state of sin or the material world. This robe gives the soul a holy boldness to appear in that new world, or principle of light, as all things become manifest. Thus, Christ the Kingly Priest appears to the soul; and like a bridegroom, He greets it with such loving congratulations original: "Love-Gratulations" as follow:
My bride and spouse, I rejoice to see your soul in my righteousness, and that you have passed through a dangerous, evil, and tempting world. You have escaped with that tender life of mine within you, by which you have come up here as a conqueror. Now behold and view the glory of my kingdom, in which the Father has placed me over all principalities, powers, and dominions terms for the hierarchy of heavenly beings or spiritual authorities, both in the heights above and in the earth below. Therefore, I can give to whomever I will the right to possess with me joy for joy and glory for glory. As I have received from my Father, so I freely give to you and to as many as shall break away and escape from an evil world, and thus ascend in a pure, naked spirit original: "Naked-Spirit"; a soul stripped of worldly attachments and ego in the flame of love.
Ask now (oh spouse of mine), what more I should do for you; I give you the freedom to ask most freely, for you have found favor both with the Father and with me.
Upon this, the arrived traveler worships and bows before the throne of God and the Lamb. In great humility, the soul makes this reply, speaking in the language of the Spirit:
Oh my Lord! I have come up to this level, but I am sensible that it is all by kindly grace original: "Benignant-Grace" and love from my God and Father, and your Spirit, O Lord Christ. You have been my guide and guardian strength throughout this journey. I have had one great proof of a mighty, strong guard, with a continual supply from your fountain-heart; otherwise, I would have fainted and failed along the way.
The consideration of this makes such a deep impression upon me that I am at a loss and do not know how to pay my debt-offering of thanksgiving to you, my God and King; only accept what I have—
