Preface.

1. The beloved reader receives here, against all expectation, that which he has hoped for over many years. These are the illustrations of the Inner Man The "Inner Man" is a central concept in Christian mysticism, referring to the spiritual or divine soul hidden within the physical body., which our author kept hidden with him for 15 years until the end of his life, and which we have kept for another 10 years after his passing.

2. They would have continued to be kept secret, had not Love moved again in the Spirit to please its devotees, finally giving permission and strengthening us to entrust them to the press. We have added them to this general new printing of this blessed and expanded third edition of the Anointed Letters original: "gesalbten Briefe"; these are the collected letters of the mystic Johann Georg Gichtel, often titled Theosophia Practica. as a lovely ornament; serving at the same time as a key for the reader, within the spirit of understanding, to better comprehend what he reads.

3. We rejoice with you over God’s great kindness, with childlike hearts that wish each other well and praise God together for it.
