Gen. 3:17 ...you shall eat of it; cursed is the ground for your sake; in sorrow you shall eat of it all the days of your life.
18 And thorns and thistles it shall bring forth to you, and you shall eat the herb of the field.
19 By the sweat of your face you shall eat bread until you return to the ground, for from it you were taken; for dust you are, and to dust you shall return.
20 And the man called his wife's name Eve Hebrew: Chavah, related to the word for "living.", for she was the mother of all living.
21 And the Lord God made for Adam and for his wife coats of skin, and clothed them.
22 And the Lord God said, "Behold, the man has become as one of us, to know good and evil; and now, lest he put forth his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever."
23 And the Lord God sent him out from the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken.
24 And he drove out the man, and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden the cherubim and the flame of a sword turning every way to guard the way to the tree of life.

Ca. 4:1 And Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bore Cain, and said, "I have acquired a man with the Lord."
2 And she added to bear his brother Abel. And Abel was a shepherd of sheep, and Cain was a tiller of the ground.
3 And it came to pass at the end of days that Cain brought from the fruit of the ground an offering to the Lord.

garments of honor The Aramaic Targum famously translates "skins" as "honor" or "glory," suggesting they were clothed in light. upon the skin of their flesh:
and he clothed them. And the Lord God said, "Behold Adam is
unique in the world: of himself knowing good & evil: and now
perhaps he will extend his hand & take also from the tree
of life & eat & live forever." And the Lord God sent him
out from the garden of pleasure to work the earth
from which he had been created. And he drove out Adam: and he settled
at the east of the garden of pleasure cherubim & the sharpness of a
