A large rectangular woodcut or engraving depicting the Adoration of the Magi. The Virgin Mary is seated on the right, holding the infant Jesus. Joseph stands behind her within a simple shelter. Three Magi, wearing crowns and carrying ornate vessels, are shown in various states of adoration; one kneels directly before the child. In the background, a star radiates light over a distant city and a caravan of people and camels.
An ornamental illustration at the beginning of the text depicting the Resurrection of Christ. Christ is shown rising from the tomb, holding a banner of victory, while several Roman soldiers are seen reeling or falling in terror. The chapter heading "CH. 1" is placed next to this image.
