This edition, prepared with diligent care, has been found to conform to the typical version. In witness whereof, etc. original: "typicæ conformis". A "typical" edition is the official master copy issued by the Vatican that all other printers must follow exactly.

The Congregation of Sacred Rites was the department of the Vatican responsible for overseeing the liturgy and the canonization of saints.

A circular ecclesiastical seal features a coat of arms with a galero, a wide-brimmed hat used in heraldry, with tassels. The shield contains three stars and a tower, topped by a cross.
