Path of Knowledge original: "Jnâna Yoga" — through wisdom, by thought, meditation, and study attaining to discrimination original: "viveka"; the intellectual ability to distinguish truth from illusion, the discrimination of the essential and permanent from the unreal and fleeting. Thence dispassion original: "vairâgya", dispassion, indifference to all worldly joys and woes which are seen to have no real existence. From this follows liberation original: "mukti", release from all bondage, freedom and eternal peace.
