This side of the leaf is intentionally left blank.
The paper on this page shows significant signs of its age, most notably through heavy foxing original: 狐斑 (huban), literally "fox spots"; these are brown or reddish-brown marks caused by the oxidation of minerals like iron or copper within the paper fibers, or by the growth of fungi in humid conditions. These markings are common in historical manuscripts and provide physical evidence of the book's long journey through time.
Visible in the center of the page is a faint "ghost image" or bleed-through. This is not a printed illustration, but rather the result of the ink from the woodcut of the Bodhisattva on the previous page seeping through the porous paper over the centuries. It provides a spectral outline of the standing figure, showing the delicacy and thinness of the medium used for this edition.
