Original title: 三才圖會 (Sancai Tuhui). Published in 1609 during the Ming Dynasty, this is a comprehensive "pictorial encyclopedia" compiled by the scholar Wang Qi and his son Wang Siyi. The "Three Powers" mentioned in the title refers to the SancaiA fundamental concept in Chinese philosophy representing the three essential components of the universe: Heaven (astronomy and deities), Earth (geography and biology), and Humanity (history, culture, and social structures)..
