Collected Illustrations of the Three Realms

Sancai Tuhui original: 三才圖會 is a monumental pictorial encyclopedia compiled by the scholar Wang Qi and his son Wang Siyi during the late Ming Dynasty (published circa 1609).

The title refers to the Three Realms original: 三才, Sancai, a philosophical concept representing the three essential components of the universe: Heaven, Earth, and Humanity. This work serves as a comprehensive visual record of the era's knowledge, containing thousands of illustrations and descriptions regarding astronomy, geography, biology, history, and the arts.
