The Xiongnu consist of five distinct lineages. One type has yellow hair and heads; they are said to be the offspring of mountain spirits shan gui and yellow wild oxen. Another type consists of those with short necks and stout, squat frames; they are believed to be the descendants of the union between large apes and wild boars. A third type has black hair and white skin; these are the descendants of the soldiers left behind by Li Jing original: "Li Jing"; a celebrated general of the Tang Dynasty known for his campaigns against the Turks.
Another type is named the Turks Tujue; their ancestor was born from the spiritual union of the Sea Goddess Shemo Sheli and a golden-horned white deer.
