Chart of the Lung Spirit

The spirit’s name is Haohua original: 皓華 (Hàohuá) — "Bright Splendor", and his courtesy name is Xucheng original: 虚成 (Xūchéng) — "Void Completion".
The form of the Lung is that of a Tiger In the system of the Five Elements, the Lung is associated with Metal and the West, which is symbolically represented by the White Tiger.
It governs the storage of the Po soul Po: The "corporeal soul" or "animal soul" which is tied to the physical body and its instincts, contrasting with the ethereal "Hun" soul. Its shape is like a suspended lithophone original: 懸磬 (xuánqìng) — an ancient L-shaped musical percussion stone; this describes the curved, hanging appearance of the lungs, and its color is like white silk original: 縞 (gǎo) — fine, white undyed silk reflecting a red glow.
It grows above the Heart and stands opposite the Kidneys; it possesses six lobes.
Its pulse referring to the energy of its meridian channel emerges from the Shaoshang point.
Shaoshang is located on the inner side of the tip of the left thumb, approximately two-tenths of an inch from the corner of the nail, within the center of the depression found there.
