Those who feign illness will be held accountable, and any officers or soldiers who harbor them shall share in the punishment. This concludes the fifth point from the previous page regarding the handling of sick personnel.
Sixth: If the troops hear of any internal movements within our own army or receive news of the enemy's approach, the commanding officer—regardless of whether it is day or night—must immediately report this to the General-in-Chief. There must be no delay of even a moment. Those who suppress information or provide false reports shall be punished.
Seventh: When the army is deployed in the field, it is a constant duty to inspect one's personal armor, weapons, and footwear to ensure they are in good repair. These must be kept ready for use in any sudden emergency.
Eighth: During the early morning hours, there must be a systematic inspection of the night watchwords, the feeding of the warhorses, and a roll call of the main units. Ninth: One must always keep personal equipment orderly and ready for use; not a single one of the necessary items may be missing.
