These six points—including Mansion of Point—are located two inches beside the Jade Pivot original: "璇璣" (Xuanji), a point on the midline Conception Vessel. If you locate them according to this method, you will achieve success.
In my humble opinion, Yin Metropolis original: "陰都" (Yindu) is five-tenths of an inch 分 (fen): a proportional unit equal to one-tenth of a "cun" or Chinese inch beside Central Venter; Communicating Valley original: "通谷" (Tonggu) is five-tenths beside Upper Venter; and Dark Gate original: "幽門" (Youmen) is five-tenths beside Great Palace Gate. Furthermore, the points listed below—Pubic Bone, Qi Point, Four Fullnesses, and Middle Pouring—are each separated from one another vertically by one inch. This provides the reasoning for why Pubic Bone is located five inches below Vitals Point original: "盲俞" (Huangshu).
However, from Pubic Bone original: "橫骨" (Henggu) to Middle Pouring original: "中注" (Zhongzhu), each point is situated one and a half inches from the midline. Vitals Point, Shang Bend, Stone Pass, Yin Metropolis, Communicating Valley, and Dark Gate are each only five-tenths of an inch from the midline. From Stepping Corridor original: "步廊" (Bulang), Spirit Seal, Spirit Ruin, Spirit Storehouse, and Middle of Chest up to Mansion of Point, the distance increases to two inches from the midline. The curvature of the meridian follows this specific path. Master Xu’s books on acupuncture likely referring to the Ming Dynasty scholar Xu Feng, author of the Complete Collection of Acupuncture and Moxibustion are in error when they describe these as forming only two straight lines. In total, there are twenty-seven points on each side, making fifty-four points in all.
